The Ring Music Group’s Role in PBS American Masters Series “RENEGADES”
The Ring Music Group is excited to share its creative contribution to the PBS American Masters series RENEGADES, where we provided original music for three powerful episodes centered on the lives of Celestine Tate Harrington, Brad Lomax, and Thomas Wiggins. Each episode in the series sheds light on individuals who have broken boundaries, redefined social norms, and made indelible contributions to history. The music we created was crafted to reflect the resilience and courage of these remarkable figures, giving their stories an added layer of emotional depth.
In addition to scoring these episodes, we had the honor of producing the theme song for the series, “I Am A Renegade.” Available on all major streaming platforms, “I Am A Renegade” captures the spirit of defiance and transformation that defines the series. The song serves as the series’ musical cornerstone, setting the tone for audiences as they dive into each groundbreaking story. Through both its lyrics and production, “I Am A Renegade” encapsulates the themes of strength and individuality that are core to the RENEGADES series.
The world premiere of RENEGADES was recently held at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., where the series debuted during the “Extraordinary Cinema” event. It was a privilege to see our work showcased on such a prestigious stage and to experience the connection audiences felt to the music and the stories it supports.
